NYE...

Maxi: Nordstrom, similar/ Top: J Crew, similar/ Shoes: Lilly Pulitzer, similar
Necklace: LMae Boutique/ Bag: Rebecca Minkoff/ Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: J Crew/ Lippie: All Fired Up + Girl About Town Gloss, MAC

It's here! The one night you can go completely crazy with all things glitter and sequin drenched judgement free. New Years Eve is one of my favorite holidays... Maybe before Christmas (crazy, I know). I just really love all the hope for change... you can feel it wherever you go...

I had a vision for my New Years outfit... I wanted something simple, chic, and ethereal looking... This skirt is an oldie (I bought it when I still lived in Philly almost 3 years ago... yep that old!) I don't wear it often enough! Blush is such a nice color and this skirt really can be worn with almost anything. We aren't doing anything super fancy... and being that we live in East Tennessee... there isn't a lot happening on New Years here... so, dinner and late night snuggles while the ball drops are probably our agenda for the evening.

My Lmae Boutique necklace was a perfect match for the look... I have a thing for covering the metallic rainbow these days... so I've got my silver, gold, and rose gold all present once again.

I hope you have an amazing night! Make it a Fancy one and get ready for 2014! I have a feeling about this one ya'll!

Radiant

Dress, J Crew (old) love this one/ Shirt: Target/ Belt: Forever 21 (old), similar
Boots: Hunter/ Bag: Rebecca Minkoff/ Watch: Michael Kors/
Bracelet: J Crew/ Lippie: St. Germain

So, we have a few new things going on around here: new look and new location for starters!!! I am so excited to finally have the new look up and running after a couple months of brainstorming and putting ideas to action. We cleaned things up a lot and I am kind of obsessed with the final product.

Since we're going with an all things new theme today... what better time to focus on the new color of the year for 2014? Radiant Orchid... it sounds a little scary and intimidating when you say it out loud, but I already had this dress before the color was announced... so, Radiant Orchid must just be another color that was already pretty fancy... but needed a little spotlight!

I love purple.... when I was little I would only wear purple... and wanted purple everything... Literally! I'm more of a pink girl these days, but that's the beauty in this color: purple meets pink!

Are you guys ready for a new year? I know I am! Luke and I keep saying that 2014 will be our year! Let's call it the Golden age... everything this year will just have a little extra sparkle...

Stay Tuned for what I'm wearing to ring in the new year! Sorry for the delay with this post! Our modem has seen better days...

Thanks for stopping by and Happy ((almost)) 2014!

Jewel Tones

Heels: Steve Madden, super sale!// Necklace: J Crew// Watch: Michael Kors/
Bracelet: J Crew// Bag: Rebecca Minkoff// Lippie: St. Germain

Don't you just love jewel tones? I know they really resonate with the holidays, but jewel tones really can be just for everyday... all year long. I wore this Christmas Day when I was still feeling pretty terrible. I didn't feel like getting super dressed up, but wanted to look pulled together all the same. This baseball tee was a recent purchase from Forever 21, kind of a no brainer when it was $8.80. It was super soft... and fit the bill for our "Cozy Christmas" theme this year. I threw on my favorite distressed jeans from Gap, a statement necklace, and my purple heels and was ready to go.

My Christmas "peak" this year? These locks! I am beyond grateful to have received them just in time for Christmas! I feel like I'm back to my old self. A few months ago my hair stylist suggested I do a little cleaning up of my dead ends and let my hair grow healthy in the coming months for the wedding... but I have felt so completely naked without my hair! So, Luxy saved the day... I am obsessed with these... the best part is you really would never know! If you go back to older posts... this really just looks like my old hair. I warmed up the color which I like much better and here we are... Long, healthy, happy hair!

I highly recommend these extensions to anyone! The best part is they truly gear each piece to the right type of hair. I have super fine hair so the 120 g set in 18 was perfect for me. Another perk, the Luxy sisters have a million hair tutorial videos... so the possibilities with these babies are endless!

I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with this sickness, thankfully. I had a wonderful holiday and I hope you did as well.

Enjoy your weekend Lovelies!

Tender Tennessee Christmas...

Pj's: Aerie// Slippers: AE// Lippie: Lady Danger// Watch: MK// Bracelet: J Crew

Remember me talking about PJ necessities for Christmas morning, here? I can't imagine a Christmas morning without a new pair... and these were just too cute to pass up. I love how simple they are, but the little added touches that make them special... We will be spending our Christmas cozy since I'm still not feeling well... but nonetheless are so excited to have the day together as a family. This is our last Christmas as singletons! Next year will be much different so we are relishing in things today that are soon to be changing... not for the better or worse... but just BIG changes.

Merry Christmas Everyone! Enjoy your day!

Holiday Blues

Sweater: J Crew Factory, on sale// Jeans: Joe's// Heels: J Crew, similar//
Bag: Michael Kors// Watch: Michael Kors// Earrings: Francesca's//
Bracelets: J Crew, Tory Burch// Lippie: Lady Danger

So... I've got the Holiday Blues.... (aka strep)!! When we did these pictures I had a different version of a Blue Christmas on my mind... Tables have turned; however, and I can barely swallow, let alone speak. Christmas Eve service this afternoon should be interesting! I do love blue for Christmas though. I feel like blue is one of the colors that gets lost in the mix of red, green, and all things plaid... and it really is a gorgeous color for the season. I found this sweater when out doing what I do best, buying too much for myself and not enough for everyone else. It was on super sale at the factory when the 50% off with an additional 20% was going on... STEAL! We are staying a little more casual for Christmas Eve with me being sick so I think this look will do just the trick.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve with family and friends. Let us be grateful for our blessings and not take a moment for granted.

Plaid for Christmas

Scarf: Forever 21, in store only, similar// Sweater: Forever 21// Jeans: 7FAM//
Boots: Hunter// Bag: Michael Kors// Watch: Michael Kors// Bracelet: J Crew

In my opinion, Christmas and plaid go hand in hand. Plaid is such a classic print and can really help to pull together any look. Like everyone else I know, I am obsessed with blanket scarves right now! I have been loving the Zara one that can be seen wherever you turn, but never got around to ordering it... so finding this one over the weekend at our Forever 21 made me one happy girl. The print on this is a little bit more bold, but also came in at half the price ($12.80).

I wore this over the weekend during our annual visit to Dollywood to see the Christmas decorations. It had been super rainy all day so my Hunter boots were a must. It wasn't super chilly since we are having bi-polar weather here in Tennessee... so a cable knit sweater was plenty enough to keep me warm. I've worn this more times than I'd like to admit in the past couple weeks, but I just gravitate towards cozy sweaters right now.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday and are as excited for Christmas as I am. I am still feeling pretty under the weather and am hoping this all clears up before Wednesday! Prayers appreciated!

Classic Cool...

Vest: Forever 21, similar// Top: Jcrew// Denim: Hudson// Bag: Rebecca Minkoff//
Heels: Stuart Weitzman// Watch: Michael Kors// Nails: OPI Big Apple Red// Lippie: Saint Germain

There is just something about a simple color combination mixed with some metal... So effortless... yet the look is pulled together and chic. Numero uno... this bag! I decided I needed a new purse when cleaning out my closet a few weeks ago. I had a couple ideas for what I wanted to go for, but hadn't completely decided on anything. One night I went perusing online and started looking again at the amorous satchel on Rebecca Minkoff's site.  I had been eyeing the black for some time, but the rose gold just struck me. I looked at it every couple hours and finally decided I had to have it! I was weary of how the metallic would translate in person... and patiently awaited it's arrival (shipping with them is a dream BTW). When it came I couldn't have been more pleased! Seriously! Best bag! It goes with everything, is saffiano leather which is SO durable, and looks so incredibly expensive... but for this kind of bag... wasn't. I am so happy with this purchase!

I also went searching for another faux fur vest that didn't break the bank.... I looked and looked and finally went with this one from Forever 21. I checked our store several times and was never pleased with the selection I found and came across this one on their website.  It has hidden pockets and is a little longer which I like. I also love the color! It almost has a feather-like effect rather than fur... but I actually am digging that!

Two great pieces in one week... I'll consider that success!

Hope you are having a great week prepping for Christmas! I cannot wait!

(I also have been sick this week so sorry for the delay in posting!)
