"I have nothing to wear!" I have to be honest, I feel like this almost everyday! A closet full of clothes... and nothing speaks to me! I really think it comes down to a creative block (you know, like what writers get all the time). I mean hey, it can happen! Finding a new spin on old pieces... or even finding humor in the things that make life a little weird: that's where I'm trying to find my space.

In comes this tee from my friends over at 9th & Elm.  LOVE! First off the site is absolutely amaze! Think Group Deals paired with Etsy! Lovely pieces that are all handmade by independent designers. The prices cannot be beat and the designer slots are always changing... so you really never know what you will find. (Other than the obvious amazingness!)

When I am feeling a little lost and have no idea to wear... this is what I reach for! Simple, staple pieces that I can throw on a t-shirt and heels and look like I somewhat have a clue....

I've been keeping things pretty simple on the outfit front lately... reason one being the crazy weather here lately and reason two is the fact that summer is coming to a close and I am ready for a new season! Like everyone else out there FALL IS MY JAM! I love fall fashion and am always anxious for the September issues to hit the shelves. There is nothing like it! I love to layer, plaid is my BFF, and I can get enough of sweaters, boots, and scarves... so while Summer 2014 has been the highlight of my life... bring on Fall!!!! 

I found this amazing jacket on the H&M website when I went searching for the perfect denim jacket. I had been eyeballing one from Nordstrom... but it was a little steep as far as price goes. So, when I found this gem for $20 I almost died. I love the light denim and know it will transition into early fall well... but on top of that I can carry it into next summer! I love finding great staples at low prices. I always feel like I've hit the lottery.

I am a little obsessed with white denim y'all! Like major! These shorts have been on repeat all summer... They're just  so comfortable.  I wore this last week to take babe on a surprise date for his birthday. We spent the evening enjoying a small town dairy barn dinner.  Luke started a new job and is commuting over an hour for work... So time is of the essence when we get to see each other. I took him about 30 minutes from home to a small little dairy bar for ice cream and dinner that we took downtown and had as a picnic. He loved it! Of course we had to celebrate with cupcakes too!

Just a quick post to share another one of my favorite summer dresses. I'm a bit obsessed with nautical prints and finding this dress before the honeymoon made it a shoe in for my packing list. Like I said before... it got a little chilly most days and I didn't get to wear all of my honeymoon clothes. So here we are... wrapping up summer in leftover honeymoon clothes. This dress is from one of my favorite boutiques (reddressboutique). It is unfortunately sold out, but I have linked some great options below. I am obsessed with their dress selection. So... to say work has been crazy lately would be an understatement... just a lot going on.  I always try to start the day off doing something that takes the edge off and outfit planning is just that for me. Being that I work in a very conservative environment.... I can't quite get by with wearing sundresses and sandals all summer. So to keep my personality showing through in my looks I add colors and patterns to keep me feeling like myself.

This dress is such a great layering piece... I know it will work well for layering for fall and winter, but for now I am loving the print and light texture paired with a simple blazer. Speaking of blazers... have you checked out the stock at Forever 21 right now??? OMG! Amaze! The prices are so great and the color and pattern selection is to die. I went for this great magenta shade, but I will definitely be going back for more to stock up for my fall work wardrobe.

When I showed these amazing shoes on insta I got a lot of questions. One word: SHOEDAZZLE! I have had the best luck with them this summer. I love the blush and magenta combo! They are quite the steal and I highly recommend them.

Lastly, I have been layering with my Moon and Lola hashtag necklace for weeks now and it is finally available on their site! Love this thing! The clear acrylic really goes with everything and is so dainty and understated.
