You hit me like fire, shot me like a bullet. Burned me up and down, no way to cool it. But every time you kiss me it's like sunshine and whiskey.

I'm sure it's more than obvious that I am polka dot obsessed. This dress is a TJ Maxx find and I absolutely love the color. Things have been a little humid here so I find myself grabbing for dresses everyday to try to beat the heat. The wedges are on super sale and going fast so if you have been on the hunt for them this summer get 'em before they're gone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and if you are located in the Tennessee Valley area I hope you are safe and sound! The weather was out of control last night. We spent the greater part of the evening hiding out at my in laws house and trying to keep Rosey calm. (poor thing is terrified of storms)

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

Lucky Lavender

Top: Gap, similar here and here and here | Denim: Loft, on sale! | Flats: ModCloth | Bag: Forever 21
Sunglasses: Dior | Earrings: Tory Burch | Watch: Michael Kors on sale!!! | Bracelet: J Crew Factory
Necklace: J Crew, Forever 21 | Nails: Barracuda (Sally Hansen)

I'm definitely on a kick right now... a white, lace, and eyelet kick! I am also a tad bit behind on outfit posts (please bare with me... wedding planning is on overload right now! t-minus 33 days and counting!!! EEEK!) So, this is from last weekend. Luke and I spent the day together shopping for paint (home renovations are already beginning... can't wait to make our first home really ours!) The flats were a recent purchase from ModCloth that I am OBSESSED with! They come in 3 other colors and I am contemplating buying another!

I got this top last year from Gap, but never wore it... why I don't know... but I'm pretty notorious for buying things and sometimes letting them collect dust in the closet. (hence my overload on poshmark lately... We have no closet space in the new house OOPS!) I love the detailing on the edges and it was perfect for a casual Saturday.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend & thanks for reading!

Buttercup

Top: Anthropologie | Denim: J Crew | Shoes: ZooShoo | Bag: Forever 21
Sunnies: Shop Ruche | Earrings: Baublebar+Anthropologie | Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets: J Crew, J Crew | Lip: Candy Yum Yum + Girl About Town gloss | Nails: Cute as a Button, essie

Yellow is an obsession of mine. So when I found this gem while browsing Anthropologie, I couldn't help myself. The lace and chiffon underlay were just too adorable to pass up. I was also a nervous wreck due to my dress fitting being postponed an hour... That's just not something a gal wants to wait for.

Rough weekends always call for rule breaking... so once again I am rocking the white denim before Easter... sorry not sorry. I am obsessed with my Reid jeans from J Crew... and I will not stop wearing them just because of some "silly rule".

Open toes were necessary when our original forecast for rain and snow Sunday turned to sunshine. Hallelujah! I cannot take any more cold! Let's just hope it's here to stay.

Thanks for stopping by!

Army Chic...

Jacket: Zara, similar | Peplum: J Crew (on sale!) | Denim: J Crew | Wedges: Zara
Bag: H&M | Sunnies: Tory Burch | Pearls: J Crew | Watch: Michael Kors

I feel like my outfits lately have been one extreme or the other... super bright florals or neutral spring layers. There is not really much in between, but that's how I like it! Each piece of this look is an absolute must have investment piece of mine. The great thing is that most of them were major bargain finds: denim under $100, top for $15, Jacket $75 (last year), wedges $90, and bag $35.  I like to keep my trendy pieces on the cheaper side since I won't be wearing them long, but for staples... I can justify a splurge here and there. With these pieces, I had some amazing luck. I talk often about cost per wear. That is really the most important building block for me with wardrobing.... why spend over $100+ per wear for something that will be off trend in just a couple months? That just doesn't make sense to me....

For these pieces the estimated CPW is under $5 and for many is less than that. I always feel so accomplished when I know I have saved money and also found a quality product... that just leaves more to spend on other things, right?

Our weather has been crazy here this week.... so no open toe shoes for me until the weekend most likely. I'm just ready to be warm on the regular... this winter has not been good to me! Just pray for no more snow! It's gotten so bad this winter that Luke is serving a couple Saturday school sessions to make up for time! Sadness!

I hope you have a wonderful day & thanks for stopping by!

ps- Don't you worry, Wedding Wednesday will be back next week! We will be posting on the regular.... promise! (Trust me... this is my venting space... and I'm sure Luke could use a break from the stress talk!)
