I've been keeping things pretty simple on the outfit front lately... reason one being the crazy weather here lately and reason two is the fact that summer is coming to a close and I am ready for a new season! Like everyone else out there FALL IS MY JAM! I love fall fashion and am always anxious for the September issues to hit the shelves. There is nothing like it! I love to layer, plaid is my BFF, and I can get enough of sweaters, boots, and scarves... so while Summer 2014 has been the highlight of my life... bring on Fall!!!! 

I found this amazing jacket on the H&M website when I went searching for the perfect denim jacket. I had been eyeballing one from Nordstrom... but it was a little steep as far as price goes. So, when I found this gem for $20 I almost died. I love the light denim and know it will transition into early fall well... but on top of that I can carry it into next summer! I love finding great staples at low prices. I always feel like I've hit the lottery.

I am a little obsessed with white denim y'all! Like major! These shorts have been on repeat all summer... They're just  so comfortable.  I wore this last week to take babe on a surprise date for his birthday. We spent the evening enjoying a small town dairy barn dinner.  Luke started a new job and is commuting over an hour for work... So time is of the essence when we get to see each other. I took him about 30 minutes from home to a small little dairy bar for ice cream and dinner that we took downtown and had as a picnic. He loved it! Of course we had to celebrate with cupcakes too!

Just a quick post to share another one of my favorite summer dresses. I'm a bit obsessed with nautical prints and finding this dress before the honeymoon made it a shoe in for my packing list. Like I said before... it got a little chilly most days and I didn't get to wear all of my honeymoon clothes. So here we are... wrapping up summer in leftover honeymoon clothes. Kimonos and denim shorts are two things I wouldn't have thought I would ever purchase... I always find myself thinking that denim shorts are either a. really redneck (I'm from Tennessee so I can say that...) or b. Hoochie Mama short! When Hott Kiss reached out to me about trying their denim I was anxious to see how they would work for me. Junior sizes don't usually  cooperate with me, but these were wonderful! I love how incredibly soft they are and the length is just right!

The kimono is from one of my new favorite shops ShopDressUp. I adore this store for two reasons: 1. the constant changing inventory and 2. the amazing price point! Nothing is over $42!!!! Obsessed! Gals on a budget hop on over to their site and prepare to swoon. 

Luke had a wonderful birthday yesterday. We spent the evening taking in this awesome weather with a picnic (obviously including cupcakes)

If there is one thing in the world that screams summer... It's a fruit dress y'all! This gem was a find at Anthro last summer and the fact I haven't featured it here yet is crazy! I love this little thing and it also happens to be Luke's fave!

I'm sure it's more than obvious that I am polka dot obsessed. This dress is a TJ Maxx find and I absolutely love the color. Things have been a little humid here so I find myself grabbing for dresses everyday to try to beat the heat. The wedges are on super sale and going fast so if you have been on the hunt for them this summer get 'em before they're gone!
