So... to say work has been crazy lately would be an understatement... just a lot going on.  I always try to start the day off doing something that takes the edge off and outfit planning is just that for me. Being that I work in a very conservative environment.... I can't quite get by with wearing sundresses and sandals all summer. So to keep my personality showing through in my looks I add colors and patterns to keep me feeling like myself.

This dress is such a great layering piece... I know it will work well for layering for fall and winter, but for now I am loving the print and light texture paired with a simple blazer. Speaking of blazers... have you checked out the stock at Forever 21 right now??? OMG! Amaze! The prices are so great and the color and pattern selection is to die. I went for this great magenta shade, but I will definitely be going back for more to stock up for my fall work wardrobe.

When I showed these amazing shoes on insta I got a lot of questions. One word: SHOEDAZZLE! I have had the best luck with them this summer. I love the blush and magenta combo! They are quite the steal and I highly recommend them.

Lastly, I have been layering with my Moon and Lola hashtag necklace for weeks now and it is finally available on their site! Love this thing! The clear acrylic really goes with everything and is so dainty and understated.

I hope you have a wonderful start to the week!

So you can keep me Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home

Kimono c/o // Denim c/o // Wedges // Earrings // Necklace c/o //  Watch // Bracelet // Sunnies

Kimonos and denim shorts are two things I wouldn't have thought I would ever purchase... I always find myself thinking that denim shorts are either a. really redneck (I'm from Tennessee so I can say that...) or b. Hoochie Mama short! When Hott Kiss reached out to me about trying their denim I was anxious to see how they would work for me. Junior sizes don't usually  cooperate with me, but these were wonderful! I love how incredibly soft they are and the length is just right!

The kimono is from one of my new favorite shops ShopDressUp. I adore this store for two reasons: 1. the constant changing inventory and 2. the amazing price point! Nothing is over $42!!!! Obsessed! Gals on a budget hop on over to their site and prepare to swoon.

Luke had a wonderful birthday yesterday. We spent the evening taking in this awesome weather with a picnic (obviously including cupcakes)

I hope you have a wonderful day! It's almost Friday!!!

Thanks for Reading!

'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars Such a heavenly view

Top: Jules Reid | Skirt: J Crew, major sale! | Espadrilles: Shoedazzle
Watch: Michael Kors | Earrings: Kate Spade | Bracelet: J Crew
Monogram: Love Always | Sunglasses: Dior | Lip: Lady Danger + Poppy Red

Just wanted to pop by and share the details of what I wore for the SBS Conference last weekend. I'm kind of obsessed with this outfit. Reason 1: On Thursday I had the pleasure of attending the Jules Reid show in Knoxville... OMG! Calling all retro obsessed gals! Her collection is to die! Reason 2: I love the color combo and mix of predictable styles with an unpredictable print.

This print is called 50's rose. Jules really carries a philosophy similar to Lilly Pulitzer. Every fabric is designed by her and then placed onto several different fabrics. The prints can be made casual or dressy based on the fabric and style of the garment. The top I'm wearing for example could be worn either way because it is basic cotton, but the silk blends created gorgeous dresses that would be absolute perfection for a bridal party!

I will share more details and photos in a post later... so stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunny Days

Dress: Old Navy | Bag: Asos | Wedges: Shoedazzle | Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: J Crew Factory | Earrings: Francesca's, similar and on sale! |
Sunnies: Shop Ruche | Nails: Sally Hansen, Barracuda

I've never been much of a Maxi girl... maybe a skirt here and there, but NEVER a dress. I'm 5'4" and typically when I wear maxis I feel less than 5'. I would kill for a couple extra inches so throwing something on that makes me look even shorter is a no go. This dress from Old Navy changed my mind. (very hard thing to do) The length is perfection for my height and even allows for wearing with flats. I love the print. (a cool blue is everything to me in the summer)

These wedges are on repeat for me. I found them on Shoedazzle and immediately thought of some amazing Tory Burch wedges I've been dying for... but wedding budgets don't exactly allow for that. I love the bows and now want them in the red color they are also available in. Coming in at $30 they were the perfect alternative to the designer version.

I'm so excited for Easter weekend, aren't you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Two Tone...

Top: Max Studio, loving this one
Denim: 7FAM
Heels: ShoeDazzle featured in People Style Watch Mag March 2014
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets: J Crew, Blush Bazaar
Necklace: BaubleBar
Lippie: Saint Germain
Nails: Formula X for Sephora "intensity"

Sometimes I have a hard time nailing down what my style is just by thinking of one look.  I love love love bright colors!!!! Yet, sometimes I just want to go super neutral with hardly a stitch of color.... that's just who I am. I like a lot of different things. I don't have a specific style that would define me... I don't think many do.

I just love the look of a simple white blouse with dark denim and pumps... there really is nothing more simple and chic. I found these heels from Shoedazzle a couple weeks ago and thought they were just so fun! The light pink and winter white color block is just the start... there is also a layer of gold peaking through the perforation of the leather: obsessed! They were actually featured in the newest issue of People Style Watch... so they must be pretty perfect, right?

I pulled things together with my favorite new polish from the Formula X collection for Sephora and a light lip.

Things are supposed to get a little crazy around here weather wise tomorrow. Schools are closing and we are predicted to get 6 inches of snow! Just pray it doesn't happen people! I just don't have time for that!!!

Thanks for reading pretties! Sorry for the delay in posting! I managed to squeeze this one in between my work commute and making it to piloxing on time... I'm kind of obsessed with piloxing lately BTW!

ps- It had just rained when we took these photos. Please excuse me frizzy hair!
